There are rules to follow on campus
This is one of the most popular forms of transportation, therefore you will not have trouble finding a place to lock up your bike before classes. On the flip side, because so many people ride bikes you will have more regulations enforced by GTPD. You will have to follow general traffic laws, for your safety and others. You can see the GTPD regulations here. Bikes are a great long term purchase and can lead to many different activities. There are many different types of bikes for these activities and it is important to consider this in deciding which bike to buy. Mountain Bikes are great if you are riding on lots of hills or want to go off road because of their many gears and aggressive tread pattern on the wheels. Also, if you are interested in trying out extreme sports mountain bikes are the best investment for you. Road bikes are perfect if you will be doing city commuting (like in Atlanta) and if you are interested in racing or cross country tours.
